Week 1: Everyday - X

In Week 1, the first exercise of the semester was to create an audio walk in a neighbourhood one was familiar with. Each walk takes us through the streets of a neighbourhood, brings our attention to the place, its people and makes us reflect on questions related to the everyday life of the city. This exercise is based on Remote-X: a project designed by Rimini Protokoll. We explore 'creating an audio walk' as a method to think about our neighbourhoods considering that many of us are not able to step out onto the streets in the ongoing pandemic situation.

The 13 posts that follow include walks from 13 different neighbourhoods in 6 different cities - Jodhpur road in Ahmedabad; Nakki lake in Mount Abu; Satellite road in Ahmedabad; Nehru Nagar in Bhilai; Chandkheda in Ahmedabad; Malleshwaram in Bangalore; Khadia in Ahmedabad; Bodakdev in Ahmedabad; Ambavadi in Ahmedabad; Evershine city in Mumbai; Johapura in Ahmedabad; Talpuri in Bhilai and Shahpura in Bhopal.
